The C.O.R.E Collective was started in the fall of 2000, right after 3rd Edition hit the shelves.  The founders, David Blonn, T.J Brinson,  Jonathan Brumfield, Jacob Twillager,  and Jerry Witman had always talked bout getting together to play some D&D, but time never worked out.

Originally the five founders played a game called Alleria, another play by post system that was very exciting and fun to be a pat of, but due to the lack of accountability and favortism the founders were told that, “If you don’t like it create your own site!” And that is what we did.

TJ and Jerry worked on setting up the bulletin boards on free system called Ezboard. Jonathan set forth learning all the rules, Jacob looked into the legal issues and Dave offer support when we needed him.

The system was established and with in the first week we had 10 players. By the end March there were 300 players.  And the site continued to grow over the next 5 years to nearly 20,000 registered character on three different campaign boards D&D, Greyhawk, Dragonlance and Forgotten realms and four d20 Star Wars boards.

And the funny thing about CORE great success is the founders never actually got the opportunity to Role Play together as they had originally intended. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t have fun playing with the hundreds of other friends they met on the site.

And that is how CORE was born.

It’s been 10 years since the days the founders started the site and now many have since moved on to other projects, but the spirit of the CORE lives on through the dedicate Moderators and Players who still enjoy writing great adventures and meeting making friends.

The Players and Moderators have been and always will be the site’s greatest asset, without them I would not be able to work on this 10 years after I helped establish this amazing place.

So join the family, create a character and find an adventure and I hope to see CORE still here in another 10 years!
